Linda Osborne, 58, of Battle Creek died on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.Linda was born on August 27, 1952, in Great Lakes, Illinois to Clarence and Jeanne (Streichert) Elliott. She graduated from Cousino High School in 1970, and later she graduated from Ferris State University. On August 31, 1979, she married Tom Seipp in Denver Colorado. Their marriage ended in divorce. On October 16, 1998, she married James "Jim" Osborne at the Chapel in the Woods at Starr Commonwealth in Albion. He survives.Linda was a Radiologic Technician at Battle Creek Health System for 22years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and taking care of her house plants. Linda was an avid reader, enjoying novels of adventure, mystery, and literature on various different subjects. She had a deep appreciation for everything earthly, and she enjoyed watching the seasons change, the cycle of the moon, and the weather patterns. She enjoyed watching and feeding her birds in the several bird feeders in her yard. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends which made a big impact on her life and truly important to her.She is survived by her husband, Jim of Battle Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Justin Epps and two grandchildren Tyler and Natalie Rose Epps of Milledgeville, Georgia; her father, Clarence Elliott of East Lansing; a sister, Sharon Russell of Haslett and a brother Kenneth Elliott of Clinton Township. She is also survived by four stepsons, Lonnie Osborne, Ron (Leslie) Osborne, Troy (Teresa) Osborne and Shane (Tiffany) Osborne, all of Battle Creek, and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanne Elliott.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-8pm with family present to greet friends from 3-5pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 3:30pm on Friday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Melany Chalker officiating.
