Leota Patton 81, of Adrian formerly of Marshall died Friday, October 7, 2011, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian.Mrs. Patton was born on January 18, 1930, in Albion to Joseph and Laura (Hollan) Inman. She graduated from Albion High School in 1948. On June 17, 1950 she married John Patton in Albion. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2000.Mrs. Patton worked for Michigan Bell for a short time, and would later stay at home and raise her family. She was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall since 1950. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and the violin.She is survived by her daughters Laura (Craig) Coats of Adrian, Linda Hilton of Battle Creek, and a son Charles Patton of Ohio. She is also survived by four grand children, five great-grandchildren, and a twin sister Leona Claugherty. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandchild.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Sunday 4-6pm with family present to greet friends at that time. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 1:00pm on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Michael Donahue officiating.
