Leonard Patrick, 69, of Litchfield passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the late afternoon surrounded by his family.Leonard was born on October 30, 1944 in Garrett, Kentucky to Woodrow and Artie (Wallen) Patrick. Growing up he worked on his family farm. Later in life he worked at Albion Malleable Iron Company as a supervisor for 39 years. He retired in 2001.Leonard's biggest love in life was spending time with all of his family. He was a grill master and would prepare meals for his family. Leonard had nicknames for almost everyone. He enjoyed going to Bluegrass festivals with Linda and telling stories. His family remembers him always having a story to tell including a lot of hunting stories! In his earlier years he also liked to go rabbit, squirrel and deer hunting. Leonard was one of a kind!He is survived by his wife, Linda of Litchfield; son, Leonard Jr. of Litchfield; daughter, Lisa Everman of North Carolina; grandsons, Jacob Randall Patrick of Litchfield and William Finch Jr. of North Carolina; granddaughters, Alissa Noel Patrick of Camden, Amanda Daniel Krebs of Indiana and Bella Julieana of North Carolina; great grandchildren, Kaleb Austin Happ, Keigan Adam Happ, Coen Alexander Happ all from Camden and twin boys on the way Indiana; brother, Jerry (Pam) Patrick of Jackson; sisters, Tessie Warrens of Munith, Bertha Phelan of Grass Lake and Jeanette (Wesley) Gipe of Munith as well as many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Artie Patrick; brother, Bobby; and sisters, Glessie and Janice.Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Homer Chapel, 303 S. Hillsdale, Homer. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th at 12PM at the Homer Chapel with family friend, Estele Hamilton officiating followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Clarendon Township on South County Line Road. Memorials in memory of Leonard will go to the family and the check can be made out to Linda Patrick. A luncheon will follow the burial back at the Homer Chapel reception hall.
