Obituary

Larry Duane Shafe age 70, passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residences. He was born on December 12, 1946 a son of Wally and Mary Jane (Veramay) Shafe in Bellevue. He graduated from Bellevue High School with the Class of 1965. Larry proudly served his county from 1966 to 1968 in the U.S Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for the Grand Trunk Railroad, Clark Equipment, and retired from the VA Medical Center. Larry had a passion for Hunting, cars and all things fast. He loved spending time with in Bellevue with his family and friends. He especially looked forward to Sunday brunch at his folks' home.
Surviving Larry are his daughter, Amy Shafe (Scott) Wulf, son Grant Shafe, step –son Michael Kirkland, brother, Jack (Alicia) Shafe, sister, Judy (Ron) Mcmillan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Relatives and friends will be received from 10 AM -12 PM on Friday February 17, 2017 at the Kempf Family Funeral Home Lehman Chapel 205 N. Elizabeth St. Bellevue, MI 49021. Military Honors will take place at 2:30 PM on Friday February 17, 2017 at Fort Custer National Cemetery 15501 Dickman Rd. Augusta, MI. Memorial contribution may be made to Cure PSP.
