M. LaMoyne Pardoe, 99, of Marshall died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Tendercare of Marshall.Mrs. Pardoe was born on August 1, 1909, in Lee Township to James and Inez (Austin) McCaffrey. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1928, and attended Detroit Business College. On September 5, 1931, she married Charles Pardoe. He preceded her in death in 1973, and a son Bruce Pardoe in 1979.Mrs. Pardoe was the book keeper for the Pardoe Brothers Paint store in Marshall, which she was also a co-owner and operator of the business with her husband and brother-in-law. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was very active as a Sunday school teacher and serving on evening guild. She was a former member of the Marshall PTA, and a scout den mother. Mrs. Pardoe enjoyed traveling. She took numerous trips all over the world. She enjoyed collecting antique glass, and spending her winters in Florida and Arizona.She is survived by five nieces, Myrna Curtis of Lansing, MaryLee Hill of Stanton, Audrey (Philip) Marriner of Roseville, CA, Charlene (Duane) Young, of Battle Creek, and Marlene (William) Bradford of Eaton Rapids.A graveside service will take place at 1:30pm on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Oakridge Cemetery with Reverend Karen Yakimow officiating.
