Josephine Beebe

Josephine Beebe, age 85, of Marshall died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Marshall Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.Mrs. Beebe was born on February 23, 1924 in Litchfield, Michigan to Ray and Florence (Knocktree) Lockwood. She was a graduate of Litchfield High School. In 1945, she married Theron Trumper. He preceded her in death. She then married Gerald Beebe. He also preceded her in death.Mrs. Beebe had lived the majority of her life in Florida, returning to Michigan in 2004. While living in Florida, she had been employed by several factories and had also worked as a Nurses Aide. She was a member of a Garden Club, the Indian Estates Golf Club and enjoyed playing bingo. She was an avid quilter and had lovingly made quilts for many of her family. She had also taught quilting classes.She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline (Dennis) Smock of Marshall; a son, Thomas (Judy) Trumper of CA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother.The family is planning a memorial service to be held at a later date.Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
