James Kearns

James Kearns, age 68, of Battle Creek died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Battle Creek.Mr. Kearns was born on June 7, 1948 in Battle Creek to Lyle M. and Rita Kachline. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central, class of 1966. James served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.He is survived by a brother, Lyle Kearns of California.A memorial service will held 1 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Craig K. Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Shaw Chapel with Reverend William J. Cole. A graveside committal service will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Military honors will be provided by the National Cemetery Honor Guard.
