Catherine Snyder, 83, of Marshall, died on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.Mrs. Snyder was born on July 14, 1929, in Calhoun County, to Herman and Vivian (Black) Moody. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1948. On November 13, 1948, she married Donald Snyder in Climax. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1967.Mrs. Snyder worked in Janitorial Services for the city of Battle Creek for 13 years working in the Transamerica Building where she retired from in 1992. She enjoyed collecting angels, reading, and crocheting. Mrs. Snyder loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Debrah (Donald) Kammerud of Marshall, Patricia (Roger) Face of Battle Creek, Michael (Mary) Snyder of North Carolina, grand children Erik (Tina) Bell, Stacy (William) Crose, Adam (Starr) Bell, Cindy Snyder, Brandy (Derek) Meyer, Shannon (Jay) Prinkston, Autumn MacQueen, Theron MacQueen, Heath (Linda) MacQueen, Deana MacQueen, Donald (Robert) Snyder-Burgin, Anthony Snyder, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Richard (Jan) Moody, sisters Nancy Krienbrook, Shirley (Russell) Hakes, ex-daughter-in-law Brenda (Frank) Snyder-Wolleren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Gary Snyder, brother Herman Moody Jr., sister-in-law Dorothy Moody, niece Gayle Barus.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Friday from 2-8pm with family present to greet friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place 10:30am on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home with Mr. Carl Miller officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Relay for Life. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
