Lynda M. Kulpa

October 22, 1939 — March 12, 2018

Lynda M. Kulpa, age 79, of Marshall, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1939 in Royal Oak, MI, the daughter of Marvin J. and Helen (Lovely) Morris. Lynda earned her Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and her Master's degree from Oakland University, both in education. Lynda also earned her Master Gardener certification from Michigan State University. Lynda was a beloved school teacher for 30 years, teaching K-9 in the elementary and middle schools of Rochester, MI. Her passions in life were her family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, her bible study group and actively participating in her church. Lynda also was very active in volunteering at Marshall House and with The Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Michael (Sheila Donovan) Morris McFarlen of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren, Quinton Morris McFarlen, Parker James McFarlen, Jacob Austin McFarlen; and her brother Jack Morris. She was preceded in death by her son, John Paul McFarlen; parents, and sister, Virginia Chamberlain.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at The First Presbyterian Church, 200 West Mansion Street, Marshall, MI, 49068 on Sunday, March 18th at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Gail Monsma officiating. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to Presbyterian Women's Association which will help to fund future volunteer events at Marshall House.
