Leo Junior Lutz

Leo Junior Lutz, age 89, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Leo was born on May 19, 1928 to Glenn and Bernice (Miller) Lutz. He married the love of his life Dorothy G. Robinson on October 30, 1950 in Hillsdale MI. After Dorothy's passing he spent 8 years with his loving companion Carol Hardwick.
Leo worked on a farm all his life. He also worked for the Kellogg Company for 35 years. Growing up in Ceresco MI Leo and his entire family ran Riverview Dairy. In later years he and Dorothy ran Robinlawn Farms raising registered Holsteins and Percherons. Leo thoroughly loved traveling and showing registered Percheron draft horses through which he made numerous friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Brian) Salo of Otsego MI and Dawn (Bill) Hirsch of Grand Rapids MI, Grandchildren Nicholas, Timothy and Clarissa Hirsch, sister Marion Glubke, nephew Steve (Vicki) Lutz. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy, His parents and brothers Leonard, Wesley and Gordon Lutz.
Family will receive friends at the Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Service, Marshall on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 10 am. Funeral service is on April 25, 2018 at 11 am at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Service, Marshall. Interment will follow at Newbre Cemetery.
